WHAT ARE GESTURES??
Gestures are comprised of various animations, poses, sounds, text and facial animations.
Unlike other animations, gestures are special in that they can be triggered in the two following ways:
**Selecting the gesture from the “Gesture” drop down, which is on the far right of the chat panel. Access the chat bar by clicking the “Chat” button at the bottom of the screen, or press the “Enter” key.
**Type in the name of the gesture, as it appears in the inventory, into the chat bar (access the chat bar as above). Examples are taken from the “My Inventory -> Gestures -> Common Gestures” folder. Type the characters within the quotes. Type “afk” to trigger the pose assumed when you are away from your keyboard. Type “/yes” to trigger an animation that nods your head.
CONTROL-G toggles your master gestures panel, which shows you all your currently active gestures, allows you to modify existing gestures, create new ones from the sounds and animations in your inventory, and also to see and modify the shortcuts and chat-triggers for a gesture.
Gestures can be found in the “Library -> Gestures” and “My Inventory -> Gestures” folders in your inventory.
In order to use your gestures, you will need to activate them. You do so thus: open the folder the gesture is in, right click on the gesture, and from the menu, select “Activate”. You can now use your gestures as described above. When you first arrive in-world, a selection of your gestures will already be active.

NOTE: Due to a bug, after some time the initially active gestures may become deactivated. Simply follow the process above to reactivate and it shouldn’t happen again.
